Web services:

These are the software based services that take place when two electronic devices connected via network.

E-mail account and address:

It is used to send written messages between individual or group of individual email addresses take these common form

                                                 Username@hostname

Creating a web based email:

We can log on to any email service provider and create any email account.

• We can create a email message.
• We can reply the email.
• We can forward the mail.

CC and BCC:

CC allows you to send the same mail to multiple address at the same time but BCC allows the sender to send same mail to multiple address without letting them know that someone other also received the same message.

Spam and junk mail:

spam is defined as irrelevant messages sent on the Internet to a large number of people.

Junk mail is unwanted or Unsolisited advertising receiving through mail.

Search engine:

It is a program that searches through a database of the web pages of particular information.

It searches the item in three mode:

(1) Spider:

It means com the internet looking for the document and their web addresses.

(2) Indexing software:

It at extracts information from the database and web addresses prepare and index of it and store it in database.

(3) Search algorithm:

It searches the information from keyword.

FTP:

File transfer protocol is commonly used protocol for exchanging file over any network that supports TCP/ IP protocol.

Downloading and uploading files:

Downloading and mains transfer data from remote to local computer and uploading mis transfer of data from local computer to remote computer.

Telnet:

It is and internet utility that lets you log into remote computer system.

Web Services:

These are the services or application available via web through the use of specific protocol.

Chat:

It is one of the popular services of internet. Chatting is like a text phone or online textual talk is called chatting.

Video conferencing:

Two way video phone conversation among the multiple participation is called as video conferencing.

E-Learning:

It refers to the learning that takes place in an electronically simulated environment. It can be done using internet connection on network and internet or storage disk.

E-Banking:

It  is umbrella term for the process by which a customer may  perform banking transaction ultimately without visiting a brick and mortar Institution and availing the banking services through electronic major via Internet is called e banking.

E-Shopping:

It is shopping the process of shopping done over the internet is called online shopping for shopping both the product and services can be purchased through online shopping. 

E-reservation:

Making reservation of tickets for hotel rooms or tourist packages sector through internet is known
as you reservation online and making reservation through electronic means with Internet.

E-governance:

It refers to the application of electronic means in governance with an aim of fulfilling the requirement
of common man at affordable cost and in possible time.

DRDO:

It is stands for defence research and development organisation is a network of more than 50
Laboratories defence Technology covering various disciplines.

E-groups:

E-groups refers to an online community where people discuss on topic of common interest, a
message posted in such discussion is known as post.

Social networking:

A social networking site that provides a venue for people to share their activities with family,
colleagues to share their interest in a particular topic.

SMS:

It is stands for short messaging service and  is commonly used as text message with an SMS you
can send a message up to 160 characters to another mobile device.

MMS:

It is stands for multimedia messaging service and is standard way to send messages that include
multimedia content to and from mobile phones.

3G (Third Generation):

Three G stand for 3rd Generation and originally enabled wireless devices to operate at speeds
which made web browsing a more enjoyable.

4G(Fourth Generation):

it is the next generation of mobile technologies with enhanced download and upload and better
connectivity this allows the users to do for more than check email and basic web browsing.

What is SSH?

It is remote login protocol that log you in into remote machine via a shell where all data between
a client and the server is encrypted.

What is SFTP?

It is a file transfer protocol but secure contrary to unsecure FTP.
